By using high-strength steel extensively throughout it’s boxed-ladder frame, the 2019 RAM 1500 drops 100 lbs. It also sheds some weight with upgrades like an electronic parking brake, electrically assisted power steering system, and several strategically placed aluminum components.
The result is a truck that’s lost northwards of 200 lbs, depending on the trim and configuration you choose. That reduction in weight, of course, leads to increases in capability–especially when paired with the powertrain options you’ll find available for the 2019 RAM 1500 here at our Huntington Beach area dealership.
Its half-ton designation may qualify it as a light-duty pickup truck, but don’t be fooled into thinking that the 2019 RAM 1500 isn’t up to some hefty tasks. With a standard 3.6L Pentastar® V6, available 5.7L HEMI® V8, and an available all-new 5.7L HEMI® V8 variant with eTorque milk hybrid system, the 2019 RAM 1500 can be geared to handle just about any challenge you expect to encounter.
With a range from 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque up to 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, this is no toy truck. All told, this half-ton beast can tow up to a staggering 12,750 lbs when properly equipped, providing plenty of punch to make short work of your biggest to-do lists.
