Whether it’s embarking on a solo journey or weekend getaway with a full crew, our Signal Hill, Huntington Beach, and Long Beach drivers can’t go wrong when getting behind the wheel of a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer or 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, or any model in our new Jeep inventory that is. But you may be asking yourself, “what’s the difference between the Jeep Wagoneer vs. the Jeep Grand Wagoneer?” Well, at your local Glenn E. Thomas Dodge Chrysler Jeep dealer, we’re here to answer that question!
Both the 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer elevate the Jeep SUV experience to peak luxury and intelligent design. While both offer 8-passenger, third row seating with an impressively sharp interior, the Grand Wagoneer up the ante on its interior technology features.
The digital instrument panel of the Grand Wagoneer will measure ast 12.3 inches, whereas the Wagoneer instrument panel measures at 10.25 inches. The Grand Wagoneer also maximizes its central touchscreen display at 12-inches (instead of the 10.1 inch Wagoneer central touchscreen). The Grand Wagoneer has an additional 10.25-inch touchscreen below that for climate and seat controls, and another standard 10.25-inch touchscreen in the passenger-side dashboard. This front passenger screen can mirror a device via an HDMI cable for all your copilot’s navigation and infotainment needs. The technology features don’t just stop at the front rows of both SUVs. A third 10.25-inch touchscreen for climate and seat controls sits between the captain chairs of the Grand Wagoneer and the Wagoneer.
Nappa leather upholstery is standard on both SUVs, but the Grand Wagoneer will feature higher-quality materials such as Palermo leather and real metal or wood accents.
Both the Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer feature an 8-speed automatic transmission and are capable of a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 lbs. While 4×4 is available for the Wagoneer, it does come standard with the Grand Wagoneer. However under the hood, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer offer two distinct drive trains for different power and fuel efficiency preferences. The Wagoneer sports a mild-hybrid 5.7-liter eTorque V-8 that produces 392 horsepower and 404 pounds-feet of torque. Meanwhile, Grand Wagoneer will use a 6.4-liter V-8 with a substantial 471 hp and 455 pounds-feet.
Although both SUVS are sculpted with a striking interior and branded with the iconic “Wagoneer” badging, only the Grand Wagoneer offers an available two-tone look with a black roof, and its Obsidian trim blacks out the exterior. Wheel choices for both are 20 or 22 inches depending on the respective trims or option package.
